I said everyone should have a sister? Yeah. Still true.
Only, let me clarify. Everyone should have a sister who is younger, cuter, funnier, better, more beautiful, cooler, and people like her more than they like you.
Enter: my sister.
In true sisterly fashion we have been in "competition" most of our lives. She hears: "Oh...I had your sister April in class. She was smart. Hopefully you'll do well too!" I hear "Oh....Amy is your sister? She's beautiful. Can I meet her?" Or my favorite...."Oh....so you're Amy's sister. Nice to meet you." Mind you people....I came first. Not Amy. Thus making Amy MY sister....whatev......
So, when I heard about Buckhead Church's Great Datexperiement I thought that it would be great fun for Destin and I. AND because I love my sister so much and want her to have a fabulous marriage I shared the idea with her too. (And with cousin Jenn and LA....but that's beside the point.) We all did the Great Date. We all got stronger in our marriages. Then I blogged....and Amy blogged. I blogged date #2. And date #3. Amy.....stopped. (This has nothing to do with the strength of her marriage. hee hee!) So we are both happily minding our own businesses.....growing in our marriages when this happens.

And she didn't even do anything! They contacted her.
They contacted her and asked if they could feature her on their blog. I wonder how they got there. Maybe it went something like this.... "Google Search: great datexperiment"

Maybe "they" click on my site and thought. Fun! People are blogging about the Great datexperiment. Then they saw Amy's blog and though WOW...cool people are blogging about the great datexperiement.
Whatever the case. This is classic Amy & April. And in case you read this entire post as jealous....PLEASE don't. It's not Amy. It's not even me. And I'm not jealous. I actually laughed out loud when I found out about this today. Because it is just so darn funny and classic for us. She is my sister. And she will always be younger, cuter, funnier, better, more beautiful, cooler, and people like her more than they like me. BUT she is also my BFFE. (Best friend forever.)
And she is for sale.....

Oh this cracks me up. SO, I'm Amber, of Buckhead Church "they", and Jeff Henderson had me contact Amy :) But what I think is funnier is that I am the younger of 2 sisters and this stuff is what our relationship is made of!! Thanks for being a great sis (and for dating your hubby!). We'll have to see how your date #4 goes!!

I feel your pain. I get the whole "you're Ryan Vinton's sister?!?!" Like he is some celebrity. Nope, he's just freakishly tall and that's why everyone knows him. These younger siblings are such a pain!
But at least we're the smart ones.
Hear, Hear to the smart ones comment=) Older siblings are forever doomed to be live in the shadow of their siblings...I think it comes in the fine print of our birth certificate somewhere. At least at some point they acknowledge privately if not publicly that we really are an asset they can't live without=) You make me laugh hysterically!!! I LOVE YOU!
What the...I AM smart too. Don't get me started on that. I will at least win the argument. Don't hate.
Amy. I never said you were not smart. I just said that's what you've heard your whole life. That I came first. :) Besides...I don't know what's funnier. That you had to come back and read it again (and laugh more) or that you had to comment again. :)

Oh my gosh April! I hear you on this one! Katie always got the "oh, you're Anna's sister? She's such a good student." I heard, "Oh, you're Katie's sister? Is she dating anyone?" To be a big sister. It's a wonderful, wonderful thing. :) I love it.
SO funny April! this happens to me and Anna all the time. I get it, I do.
